Mission Thome is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to serving the families of Thome, Kenya and surrounding communities through faith, education, and community development. We are committed to nurturing children in their development and health, empowering adults to be self-sufficient, and transforming lives through God’s love and organizational model.
OUR MISSION
Our goal at Mission Thome is to bring the Gospel to the people in and around the community of Thome, Kenya. Our long term vision is to serve a healthy, self-sufficient, and productive community working to grow the body of Christ.
Our Impact
Education
Mission Thome currently has a school with an enrollment of 340+ pupils going till junior secondary.
Clean Water
We provide water for the community through a borehole in the mission.
Church Program
The church is the cornerstone on which Gospel Rescue Mission was founded.

How We Help
- Education - the school is our main point of contact with the kids. They are the greatest assets we have and the key to making a lasting impact in the region.
- Feeding program - We have a school feeding program for children and the vulnerable elderly in the community.
- Clean water - The mission provides water for the community through a borehole in the mission.
- Farm project - done for both food and cash crop. We have coffee, fruits and leafy greens in our farm. We have recently ventured into beekeeping for honey production.
- Medical camps - we educate on the dangers of FGM, vaccinate children and administer medication where necessary. It is our goal one day have a medical clinic offering healthcare services as well.
